When Dr. Travia, then a colleague on campus, approached him with the opportunity to join Railcare, Hatcher didn't hesitate to jump on board. A native of Manteo, North Carolina, he is acutely aware of the barriers faced by certain populations in trying to find access to health care, especially in the state's Eastern half. Upon completing dental school at Eastern Carolina University, he looks forward to working within North Carolina's rural communities.
