When a colleague from UNC-Chapel Hill, Kevin Travia, approached me about the opportunity to join Railcare Health, I did not hesitate to jump on board. Currently a student at East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine and raised in Manteo, North Carolina, I am well aware of the barriers people face when trying to find access to health care, especially in Eastern North Carolina. After finishing dental school and continuing to gain insight through Railcare Health, I look forward to working with those in the rural areas of our state.
